New Life Ahead

Welcome to my blog!  This is new for me and I'm excited to share with you some of my thoughts and happenings.  I've lived in Nashville the last 8.5 years, and have desparately wanted to leave since about a year ago.  I love my friends here, but I just feel like I need to move on to other dreams that have been pounding in my heart.

This first dream is to live in Ireland.  I have wanted this for at least 5-10 years.  And I'm not that old.  Okay, I'm 26.  Sooo, I'm packing up my things, moving them to my parents' house in Ohio, selling my furniture, and going overseas for 6 months.  I will be with Youth With a Mission, and the first three months are in Ireland, the second 3 months in an outreach country yet to be disclosed, he he.  Being that I am not in college, this is quite an ordeal, because I've had to quit jobs and move out of a place where I've lived for 3 years.  That's how serious I am!!  Part to most of my goal with this trip is to be spiritually renewed.  I have an ongoing relationship with God and hit a bump in the road.  In many ways I have moved on and grown, but I feel so stuck there, like I just need to do something drastic.  Something about doing a mission school/trip feels completely frightening (part of the drastic thing I just mentioned), but I think it will help unstick me.   Doing this also suits my personality quite nicely, and feels exciting and adventurous, something I haven't felt in a long time.  My life without adventure would be pretty much worthless to me.

My second dream is to live in the Pacific Northwest.  I have close family there, and a standing offer to live with grandparents until I can get settled.  Not doing this is like leaving a little kid in a room by himself with a marshmallow and telling him he cannot eat it.  At some point, I'm going to break, and just do it.  I think this will be after the 6 month stint overseas.  Perhaps a brief layover in Ohio until I can work up enough funds to get out there.

I also am extremely crafty, artsy fartsy, etc.  I have a small hand made jewelry business and cannot stop making things!  My website with jewelry is Rebeccanoelle.etsy.com.

Love and blessings to all!
